Events featuring work and advice from journalists and nonfiction storytellers.

I started Her Girl Friday in 2011 with a group of amazing reporters, photojournalists, documentary film makers, radio producers, and multi-media storytellers. We were looking for more opportunities to talk shop with (and get inspired by) our peers, so we started putting on the kind of events we wanted to attend.

Over the years we've had hundreds of people attend our panels on how to pitch, pursuing investigative projects, civil rights reporting, cultivating beats, impact-focused documentary projects, new media platforms and more.
