Talisa is a UX and story strategist.

As a consultant, she help teams create narrative-driven experiences that are informed by participatory research. She's worked extensively with scaling startups and established organizations on both the product and marketing side, including Foursquare, LearnVest, and Shutterstock. 

As a writer, she's focused on developing material for television. Her pilot script about a Chinese family navigating apartheid-era South Africa was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Made in New York Writers Room Fellowship and made it to the second round of the 2017 Sundance Episodic Story Lab.

Talisa crowdsources her peers' activism through a participatory newsletter called Last2Weeks. She's also currently developing a podcast about the Asian American experience.

Talisa is a co-founder of Her Girl Friday, a group that puts on events featuring work and advice from female-identified journalists.

 Johannesburg-born and California-raised, she's usually based in Brooklyn.
