Talisa is a UX and story strategist.

As a consultant, Talisa helps teams create narrative-driven experiences that are informed by research and thoughtful iteration. In the past decade she's worked with with scaling startups and established organizations on both the product and marketing side, including Foursquare, LearnVest, and Shutterstock. Her toolkit spans UX, user research, content strategy, and brand story. 

As a writer, Talisa is focused on developing material for television. Her pilot script, THE DOUBLE LUCK SWAZI HOTEL, about a Chinese family navigating apartheid-era South Africa, was a semi-finalist the 2017 Made in New York Writer's Room Fellowship and made it to the second round of the 2017 Sundance Episodic Story Lab.

Since the election, Talisa has put out a participatory bi-weekly newsletter called Last2Weeks, which curates the activism and learnings of her peers. She is also a co-founder of Her Girl Friday, a group that has put on events for (and featuring!) female-identified journalists since 2011.

Talisa studied The Politics of Language at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Johannesburg-born and California-raised, she's usually based in Brooklyn.
